Diagnostics System crashed and you have no idea why? Don't feel bad as diagnosing system crashes can be very confusing and involved. A crash can be hardware related, software related, a blown part, bad power at the socket or a combination of all of these. We ask you questions that may seem useless but are integral to figuring out what is happening. Does the PC crash when you are right in the middle of a hot new game? It is very hard, sometimes, to figure out why a system is crashing and the person who knows the rig the best is you, the owner. So when you have a crash, try and remember exactly what the system was doing or what it acted like when the crash happened. Sometimes it is obvious what the problem is and sometimes it takes hours, so we have set our prices in a way that we think is most beneficial to both parties. Best of all, if we cannot figure out what the failure is being caused by then you don't pay.
EZ-PC charges $60 ($75 for some Chesapeake addresses) for a house call. This fee will be applied to any further work that is deemed necessary to get your computer back up and running.
Wireless Networks
Wireless networks are great in that they provide single point access for many stations without having to run any wires. They allow you to sit by your pool and surf the web or check email. The same thing that makes wireless so convenient and easy to use is its one downfall. When you plug in your router you broadcast your web service to the world. Anyone with a card can use your Internet connection to do whatever they want.
Turn off the broadcast and encrypt your traffic so that your systems are safe. We can install, secure or repair your wireless network for you. We will explain the settings we can make and why what you will see.
