Operating System Reinstall
Windows is a great OS (Operating System ) but the fact is that over time it gets corrupted, fragmented and sometimes infected, beyond repair, by Spyware, Trojans and Viruses no matter how diligent you are. Symptoms of a corrupted or infected OS are myriad but generally you will see a slow down of all operations, uncontrollable pop-ups and you just want to toss the PC through the window.
We can reinstall your OS on a freshly formatted hard drive for you, making sure it is patched and updated with all the latest fixes from Microsoft, so your system performs like the day you bought it. We will also update your chipset and display drivers so your system is not only safe and secure but runs more smoothly. This service will be performed in-shop as most people don't want someone sitting in their home for hours formatting a hard drive.
Remember that a full reinstall means everything that is on the OS partition will be destroyed. All your programs will need to be installed as well as any settings for email and networking. Don't forget about you old bookmarks and what about setting up you email and address book? Lastly you must get all of your old data moved off the hard drive and stored while the hard drive is prepped and the OS reinstalled. Yes, reinstalling an OS can be a daunting task. We can perform all these services if desired but it is best if the owner backs up all the data they want preserved.

System Optimization & Cleaning
Just because your PC has slowed down doesn't necessarily mean that a full reinstall is necessary. The OS, over time, gets bogged down with extraneous files, leftover software and useless registry entries. The hard drive can get fragmented as well. Let us come in and see if your PC just needs a good tune up to get it working at peak performance again. We can rid the OS of all the gludge that is slowing it down, tweak your system so those useless programs, that you never use, no longer start-up every time you turn your computer on. We will also defragment the hard drive and install all the latest patches, if needed, from MS. Additionally we will clean your rig out physically, blowing away all those dust bunnies and cleaning your heatsinks and fans so the operating temps get back to normal.This service will be performed in-shop (we pick up) as defragging a badly fragmented hard drive can take hours. BIOS & Driver Updates
Your BIOS (Basic Input Output System) and drivers are the way that your system makes all those millions of transistors act as one unit. The BIOS is your motherboard's basic operating system. It is how the motherboard communicates with everything installed or plugged into it. Manufacturers continually update their BIOS versions to stay in step with the latest technologies and to fix bugs they missed the first time around. The drivers are what the Operating System (OS) uses to run all those expensive components at their optimum.
Along with optimizing, you should always have the latest BIOS flashed to your motherboard's CMOS and the latest drivers for the chipsets and your other components installed. We can flash your BIOS to the manufacturer's latest, if needed, remove the old drivers and install the latest for your components.
